Happy New Year 2023! A new beginning with a new club board and adventure. As the new president, we will work to continue our growth…
Our board is here to serve the new and current members. We will be adding exciting drives to create comradery among members. We will also get our members more involved on leading drives. Plus, we are working hard to have a charity car show that we have missed, a couple of years now, due to Covid.
Central Chapter cars and coffee will be held in different locations to accommodate and meet other members from Corvallis and Albany. And, we will schedule a couple of Tech sessions to learn more about our cars and newer technologies.
Let’s make 2023, a good and an unforgettable year. As Porsche says, “There is No Substitute.“

Join Mike and Robin Vanderford for a last drive of the season on Saturday, October 12th. We’ll meander the autumn countryside through Jacksonville and the Applegate valley and on to Merlin where we will take a quick journey north on I5 to the old ghost town of Golden (we will take a short rest stop in Murphy, never fear!). Golden is interesting as a gold mining town known for having 2 churches and NO saloons. We will spend awhile there seeing the few remaining buildings and learning a bit about its history. Then we’ll back-track a short way to the Wolf Creek Inn for lunch.
Meet at Barnes and Noble in Medford at 9:00 am for a 9:30 am sharp departure. RSVP’s are needed for the lunch reservation. Email Robin at address provided in Eblast message.
Join us on our Drive to the Umpqua Valley on Saturday, October 12. We’ll meet at the Loews on W 11th in Eugene at 9:30 am and roll south promptly at 10:00 am. Our destination is Cooper Ridge Vineyards. There are no freeway segments on this drive! Some roads may be familiar, but they are all rural two lanes.
Cooper Ridge offers small plates for a light lunch for $15 or you are free to bring your own picnic. Rather than a formal wine tour, the drive will end at Cooper Ridge and participants can choose the wineries they’d like to visit. Click on this link for an excellent map of the wineries in the area.
Please RSVP for the Drive so that we can give an accurate count to Cooper Ridge.
Event start at European Cars and Coffee followed by Hyatt Lake Drive and lunch
Mark your calendar for Saturday, July 11, and plan to join us for the Central Chapter’s inaugural drive of the 2020 season (Finally!).
We’ll assemble at our usual gathering spot, Lowe’s on West 11th, at 8:30 am and take the long way to Monroe, followed by plenty of twisty bits to entertain you and your Porsche! Plan to pass through Cheshire, Alpine, Philomath, and Alsea, with a stop at Alsea Falls. If reopening progress allows, we’ll end with a group lunch.
