Happy New Year 2023! A new beginning with a new club board and adventure. As the new president, we will work to continue our growth…
Our board is here to serve the new and current members. We will be adding exciting drives to create comradery among members. We will also get our members more involved on leading drives. Plus, we are working hard to have a charity car show that we have missed, a couple of years now, due to Covid.
Central Chapter cars and coffee will be held in different locations to accommodate and meet other members from Corvallis and Albany. And, we will schedule a couple of Tech sessions to learn more about our cars and newer technologies.
Let’s make 2023, a good and an unforgettable year. As Porsche says, “There is No Substitute.“

The Texas 4000 is a charity bicycle ride by college students. The ride starts in Austin, Texas and ends in Anchorage, Alaska. Approximately 4000 miles. The ride consists of four different routes. The Sierra Route is scheduled to pass through Grants Pass on July 8th and eventually end up at the airport in Merlin where the riders will camp out over night. Along the way they hope to raise money for cancer research. Might be fun to stop by once they arrive to see how they are doing and offer some support.

This is a non PCA item of interest. Details provided below. For background Google www.scm1000.com Could be fun. Bring your park pass for Crater Lake.
Hi guys. You may recall I mentioned previously that the Sports Car Market sponsored “SCM 1000” this year included a stop at Crater Lake. I have learned this will occur at around noon on July 12. I thought it would be great to caravan a bunch of us to the Park that day to see cars and have fun like last year. Sports Car Market is excited to have us there and would like to talk about a similar event for Southern Oregon in the future. I think we should get there early so like last year I think meeting at Spicers resteraunt at 8:00 am for people wanting to go would be a good start.Spicers is out by the old Pier One location on Crater Lake hwy. please pass along my email to anyone interested and have them contact me by email so we know who to expect lest we leave without someone ! Thanks Ron 541-821-2177.
Join us as we drive some of our favorite back roads to Cottage Grove, then turn south past Cottage Grove Lake and enjoy twisty bits to Sutherlin, ultimately arriving at Reustle-Prayer Rock Vineyards in time for lunch. Reustle Vineyards will offer gourmet burgers for purchase as well as wine tasting opportunities. Early RSVPs are essential so we can let the winery know how many people are coming, how many plan to purchase food, and how many plan to taste. Please RSVP now to centralchapter@cascade-pca.org.
Plan to arrive at 9:00 AM at Lowes on West 11th in Eugene for a brief driver’s briefing and prompt 9:30 AM departure.
Join us for a tour of twisty backroads along the Willamette and Santiam Rivers, arriving at Oregon Garden just before noon. The route was put together by two former members and was enjoyed by all who participated the last time it was a featured PCA Drive! There are several lunch choices… picnic in the Garden, purchase a lunch at the Little Leaf Cafe in the Garden’s visitor center, eat at the Oregon Garden Resort, or choose from several good restaurants in Silverton. Admission to the Garden is $12, with discounts for AAA and Seniors; an $8 rate if we can get early RSVPs for a minimum of 15 people. So RSVP to centralchapter@cascade-pca.org soon.
Assemble at the old Shopko / new Winco on Coburg Rd near the Human Bean at 9:00 AM. We’ll roll promptly at 9:30 AM.
