Welcome, 2025!
Another year has passed, and we welcome 2025. Thanks to our members for re-electing our previous board to serve for two more years. This year will be more exciting than last year. We are adding new volunteers to join our board, we will have exciting drives and joint events with other regions. We will open up another monthly Cars & Coffee on the coast.
We are looking forward to new volunteers to lead the drives. Our board members will strive hard to make 2025 better than our previous years. So hold tight and let the fun begin.
Special mention—we will miss the smile of my lovely wife Jackie on our drives, car events and Cars & Coffee that she supported.
Thank you, and Enjoy the Ride!

Join us on Saturday, August 13 for one of our prettiest twisty drives! If you haven’t driven Tyee Road before, it twists along the banks of the Umpqua river, from just south of Elkton to the little town of Umpqua, just east of Sutherlin. We’ll picnic (and taste wine, if you’d like) at Henry Estate Winery. For those who don’t want to pack a picnic, we’ll make a stop at the Lighthouse Center Bakery in Umpqua to pick up food. It’s a fantastic drive that is completely paved, even the short bit to the winery.
We meet at 9 AM at Lowe’s on West 11th in Eugene. Hope to see you there!
Join us for our monthly coffee gathering at Market of Choice, 29th and Willamette in Eugene. At the front of the store, drive north, past Pegasus Pizza and Office Max, to the lot in the back. There’s plenty of safe parking, surrounded by your fellow PCA members. Coffee, breakfast treats and restrooms in Market of Choice. If the weather is foul, look for us at the tables at the top of the stairs in the store. We meet rain or shine.
Join us for one of the more unique drives on the calendar. Meet at the Edgewood Center at E 40th Ave & Donald St in Eugene at 9 AM. After a brief drivers’ meeting, we’ll roll at 9:30. After a quick pit stop at Dorena Lake (which is a little gem all on its own), we’ll enjoy a low-speed autocross-like route through the forest, ending with lunch at the Steamboat Inn on the banks of the Umpqua River. RSVPs are essential so the Inn can accomodate us. Send email to centralchapter@cascade-pca.org/

Join us for the Cascade Region Central Chapter Annual Banquet on Saturday, Oct. 8 at 5:00 PM at Valley River Inn in Eugene, OR. Located across from Valley River Center, VRI offers a separate room for our group, nearby parking, good food and beverages.
Cost for dinner will be $25/person. That covers dinner, soft drinks, gratuity and a raffle ticket for all the great prizes we are gathering. Beer, wine and cocktails will be available no-host.
Entreé choices are: Pan Seared Salmon, New York Steak, or Pasta Primavera. Entreé choice must be pre-selected during registration.
Advance registration and payment is required. Visit msreg.com/CascadeCentral2022Banquet. Due to needing to provide the number of people to the venue ahead of time, registration will close on Sept. 30. Cancellations while registration is open will be fully refunded.
Join us for our final Drive! of 2022, which will end with lunch at Deb’s Cafe in Alsea. Plan to meet at Lowe’s on W 11th in Eugene at 9:00 AM for a brief drivers’ meeting. We’ll roll at 9:30. Routes are still being considered, so watch this space for the latest updates. October usually serves up good weather, but we will drive, rain or shine.
